The second chakra is the center of our emotions and our sexual energy. Located about three inches below the navel, it is associated with our ability to be flexible, develop nurturing relationships and enjoy pleasure. This chakras' color is orange, and associated with the water element and its musical note is D. The glands for this energy center are in the reproductive organs. It represents our yin/yang balance within ourselves. The Svadhistana powers the basic emotions of passions. It connects us to our emotional self. "I feel". When this chakra is balanced, we feel in touch with our feelings, have a healthy sense of our sexuality, and overcome our addictions. We have the stamina and ability to survive financially and physically. We also have the ability to take risks and find the power to establish a new life. If contaminated or weak difficulties may arise as self-neglect, low desire, lack of self-love and blocked creativity. Social interaction may also be difficult. We enhance our energy in this chakra when we are in touch with our feelings, have a healthy sense of our sexuality, find self-respect and the strength to overcome our addictions and feel the enjoyment of life.
