The Crown Chakra represents one being truly open to their spirituality and to their own Divinity. It is through this chakra we connect to our higher self and higher power. The Sahasrara directs our spiritual development and our ability to see the larger patterns at work within our life. Located at the center top of the head, the Crown Chakra colour is violet, (also visualized as white-gold), harmonizes with the note B and corresponds to the pineal gland. The element association is Spirit. It is through this Divine energy center we grow spiritually. This serves as our main connection to the Universal Love. We discover the pure consciousness of oneness, spiritual awareness, wisdom, intuition and a connection to the inner guidance of the all-embracing Divine love. We find the ability to recognize the lessons of our relationships and see the larger picture of our interactions at work. It is here we can experience the ultimate states of achievement and enlightenment of pure loving consciousness, by being truly open to our spirituality, our own Divinity and connecting with the Divine Love. We lose energy from the Crown Chakra when we don't believe in a higher power, have a lack of faith, and reject our Divine guidance. Either we develop and nurture this energy connection, or we keep it closed, severing our connection to the Divine. In turn, we may have a loss of identity with ourselves and the people around us, unknowingly experiencing a complete spiritual abandonment. By letting go of the past, and living with the knowledge of unity, peace and love, we consciously and subconsciously seek an intimate connection with the Divine in everything we do. With faith, inner guidance and insight into healing, we move forward into the white light. We reinforce this energy connection when we "let go and let God", trust the Universal wisdom, surrender, engage in spiritual activities, express gratitude, perceive our present lives as a spiritual journey and understand our higher purpose. This is our spiritual Essence, living and listening to the Heart of the Universe.
